Central air services

Right-sized, sealed and set up to last.

A central air system is only as good as its installation. If the equipment is oversized, the ducts leak or the airflow is unbalanced, you’ll feel it in every room — and on your energy bill.

We look at the whole picture: the building, the ductwork, the equipment and how you use the space. Then we recommend a practical path, whether that’s a tune-up, a targeted repair or a full replacement.

Already uncomfortable? Start with a service call. We’ll diagnose what you have before recommending any replacement.

Replacement planning

When repair starts feeling like a routine.

There’s no magic number that means “replace it now.” These are the signals worth a conversation about the next system:

Aging equipment with a growing repair record

Energy bills that keep climbing

Rooms that never feel evenly cooled

Humidity that stays high indoors

Parts becoming harder to source

A planned remodel or addition

Talk through my options
What a good install looks like

Four steps. No shortcuts.

The equipment matters, but the installation is what makes it perform. Here’s the process we follow on a central air project.

Step 01

Assess the home

We look at the space, insulation, windows and ductwork — not just the old unit’s label.

Step 02

Match the equipment

We size the system to the actual load and talk through efficiency choices.

Step 03

Install it cleanly

Line set, drain, electrical, transitions and sealing — the details that get skipped when a job is rushed.

Step 04

Test & walk through

We verify performance, set the thermostat and show you how to get the most from the system.

Seasonal maintenance

Don’t wait for the first hot week.

A seasonal tune-up gives us a chance to catch loose connections, dirty coils, weak capacitors, clogged drains and low refrigerant before they turn into a no-cool call during the busiest stretch of summer.

  • Filter, coil and drain check
  • Electrical and refrigerant readings
  • Temperature split and airflow performance
  • A clear report of anything we find

Central air questions.

Planning a replacement or just want the system checked? Here’s what homeowners usually ask first.

How long does a central air installation take?

A straightforward changeout can often be completed in a day, but every home is different. Ductwork, electrical work or access issues can extend the timeline. We’ll give you a realistic window after reviewing the job.

Do I need all new ductwork with a new system?

Not always. We inspect the existing ductwork for leaks, sizing and condition. If it’s in good shape and moves the right amount of air, it may only need minor sealing or repairs. If it’s undersized or damaged, we’ll explain the trade-offs.

How do you choose the right system size?

Square footage alone isn’t enough. We consider insulation, windows, ceiling height, ductwork and how the space is used. Sizing to the actual load helps with comfort, humidity control and efficiency.

Will a new system lower my energy bills?

A properly matched, efficient system can help, but usage, insulation, windows and your thermostat habits all play a part. We’ll talk through realistic expectations rather than promising a specific number.

Can you maintain my current system instead?

Absolutely. Maintenance and repair are a big part of what we do. If we can keep your existing system running safely and reliably, we’ll tell you.
